ABOUT US
Our Mission
The mission at Pacific Ghost Forestry Services, Inc. is twofold. First and foremost, we are passionate about forestry, and we aim to educate our clients and community through active and sustainable forest management. Second, as conveyed through our passion and this education, we aim to help each of our clients recognize the full potential of their forestland. Determining, reporting and helping to recognize the financial and ecological benefits of your property is what we are here for.
Personalized Approach
Living, playing and raising family in the Northwest (specifically the Columbia River Gorge), we are vested in how forestry is done in and around our home. We are lucky to consider many of our clients our neighbors, and we act accordingly. Our clients can expect honesty, integrity and strong moral ethics in both our dealings and how we approach forest management. We do things right and we won't compromise.
Meet Our Team
As President of Pacific Ghost Forestry Services, Inc., Ryan Ferrill leads with nearly 20 years of professional forest management experience in various sectors of the forestry industry. Ryan has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from Oregon State University and is currently a Candidate Member of the Association of Consulting Foresters. Additionally, Ryan annually earns numerous continued education hours in an effort to keep current on the science and trends in forestry. Before beginning a career in forest management, Ryan spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy attached to 2 different Destroyer class ships and participating in 3 different deployments to the Persian Gulf. Collectively, this education and experience has resulted in a well trained, organized and disciplined forester. While not engaged in forest management work, Ryan enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and daughter. With, or while away from them, Ryan is still usually in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, hiking, rafting, foraging, gardening or scouting for his next outdoor adventure.

As a life long resident of Skamania County, Washington, living and recreating in the forest is in Bodie Allaway's blood. Bodie recently joined Pacific Ghost Forestry as a Forestry Technician where he will specialize in timber cruising, harvest unit layout and other general forest management activities. He's already shown that he is willing to approach problems with a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn. Bodie has held other positions with construction companies where he's honed his work ethic and gained experience operating heavy equipment. We expect Bodie to become an outstanding forester, and already see a ton of potential for his future with Pacific Ghost Forestry.
Originally hailing form Georgia, Colton Stokes also joins Pacific Ghost Forestry as a Forestry Technician. At PGFS, Colton will initially specialize in timber cruising, harvest unit layout and other general forest management activities. Colton recently defended and earned his Masters Degree of Forest Resource Management from the University of Washington. His focus was on GIS-based forest management strategies to enhance wildfire resiliency and forest health, in and around communities in the wildland urban interface. Through his work experience and education, Colton has developed an incredible ability to communicate complex forest management strategies, all while maintaining a positive attitude characterized by his "southern charm". We're excited to see the potential growth and capabilities Colton will bring to PGFS.
